We all know that in the past, Mr. Chinawut has distributed many unaccredited letters as well as has been part responsible for the breaching of the MOU between the IAMTF and IFMA by arranging a WMF Meeting before an ad-hoc committee was formed. This time around, he has been again circulating false information to the Muaythai community. In the letter he stated a court case between the IFMA and the WMF where Mr. Santiparp Intrapahan, Vice President WMF, has requested the court and the decision reached that Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan must withdraw all Muaythai related activities in Thailand. This is truly false information and the matter is clarified as detailed below:
Since then a new association, AMTAT (Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand) was formed and there have been court cases brought between the AMAT and the SAT. This may seem nonsense to outsiders, however they must understand that the Royal Patronage means the exact guidelines must be followed. The cases went through lower and higher courts, and ultimately to the Supreme Court. On November 18th, 2005 the Supreme Court has reached the final verdict that all requests by the AMAT were dismissed as the SAT has its own constitutions (Sports Act 1985). The AMTAT, under the leadership of Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, still is a legal amateur Muaythai body of Thailand. This means there are now 2 associations, one is the Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand and the other is the Muaythai Association of Thailand. This is a domestic case between the SAT and the AMAT . Mr. Chinawut took this opportunity and once again misinformed all members, which has created much confusion. Dr Sakyche IFMA and FAMA could take Mr. Chinawut to court for defamation but by this time the world is aware of his tactics, he was judged long time ago by the Muaythai community. For the rest of his letter on the so-called, new FAMA Board, Dr Sakchye is still the President of the FAMA. Nothing has changed. The meeting was unconstitutional with no doubt. Imagine new members walk into any association without prior knowledge of the board, the president or the general secretary. This has been the situation in Phuket and without any notification an extraordinary meeting was called. A legal notice has been issued to the president of the AMAT to stop using FAMA name. The rest is all history. For future, the next Indoor Asian Games will be held in Macau, a strong member of the IFMA and FAMA, who has already distanced itself since the meeting in Phuket from the WMF. |
