Muay Thai officially recognised

La Muay Thai ufficialmente riconosciuta.

[Muay Thai] got the nod of approval from the General Association of  International Sports Federations (GAISF) yesterday, becoming an  international sport like soccer and tennis and getting a good chance of  being included in future Olympics.

[ Muay Thai ] ha ottenuto ieri l’ approvazione dall'Associazione Generale delle Federazioni Internazionali degli Sports (GAISF), diventando uno sport internazionale come il calcio ed il tennis e ottenendo una buona probabilità di essere incluso nelle Olimpiadi future.

Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, president of the International Federation of Muaythai  Amateurs (Ifma), submitted the Thai martial art's bid to the GAISF  assembly  yesterday at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul.

Il Dott Sakchye Tapsuwan, presidente della Federazione Internazionale dilettanti di Muaythai (Ifma), ha presentato ieri la richiesta di riconoscimento dell'arte marziale tailandese all’assemblea  del GAISF tenutasi al Grand Hotel Intercontinentale di Seoul.

A total of 72 GAISF members at the meeting voted in favour of muay Thai  becoming a full member of the association, thereby enhancing the sport's  reputation around the world and opening up the possibility of it being  included in future Olympics.

Un totale di 72 membri del GAISF alla riunione ha votato per far diventare la federazione di Muay Thai un membro titolare dell'associazione, con ciò aumentando la reputazione di questo sport nel  mondo ed aprendole la possibilità di essere inclusa nelle Olimpiadi future.

 After yesterday's meeting, GAISF president Hein Verbruggen immediately  flew  to Thailand to inform HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn of the  federations' approval. The Crown Prince has asked Privy Councillor Pichit  Kullavanij to play host to Verbruggen at his residence this evening at the  Kavila Military Camp in Chiang Mai.

Dopo la riunione di ieri, il presidente del GAISF Hein Verbruggen è immediatamente volato in Tailandia per informare sua altezza il Principe HRH Maha Vajiralongkorn dell'approvazione delle federazioni. Sua Altezza il principe ha chiesto al Consigliere Privato Pichit Kullavanij di invitare l'ospite  Verbruggen nella sua residenza questa sera all'accampamento militare di Kavila in Chiang Mai.
